Business Leadership Roundtable on Minimum Wage Ordinance

Business Leadership Roundtable on Minimum Wage Ordinance

Thursday, August 19, 2021 (2:30 PM - 3:30 PM) (PDT)

Description

In association with the City of Foster City, we invite you to join us for a candid discussion on issues and potential impacts related to a proposed new minimum wage ordinance. City Staff is developing its recommendation for a new minimum wage ordinance for City Council direction and input from our business community will assist them in formulating the recommendations.

Starting January 1, 2023, the State of California will require a $15.00 an hour minimum wage for all employees. Many cities in San Mateo County already require a minimum wage higher than $15.00 because it increases annually based on Regional Consumer Price Index. The City of Foster City is considering adopting a similar Minimum Wage Ordinance.

This is YOUR opportunity to have your voice heard and share your experiences and thoughts on the implications that this issue may have on your business and operations.

As masking rules return and the pandemic continues to impact our daily lives, the Chamber Cares Initiative will continue to engage and support all businesses; nonprofit, independent, small and large alike!
